The primary election held on Tuesday, August 4th officially determined the results for this year’s Sahuarita Town Council election. Incumbents Bill Bracco, Melissa Hicks, Gil Lusk and Simon Davis have retained their seats on the council, all for new four-year terms.

In addition to the four, four-year seats, one two-year seat was open. Taking that seat and new to the council will be Debbie Morales, who won against Ryan Huber. Both of these candidates had applied previously to fill vacant seats last summer.

The results of the primary gave the winners enough votes to avoid a run-off in the general election in November.
